Urology Services

• Consultation for General Urological Issues:


o Purpose: Initial evaluation and discussion of urological symptoms and concerns, including urinary problems, prostate issues, sexual health, and male infertility.

• Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs) – Diagnosis and Treatment:


o Purpose: Diagnosis of bladder and kidney infections through urine analysis and initiation of antibiotic treatment.

• Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) – Initial Assessment and Medical Management:


o Purpose: Evaluation of symptoms related to prostate enlargement, including urinary frequency, urgency, and weak stream, and initiation of medical therapies.

• Erectile Dysfunction (ED) – Initial Assessment and Medical Management:


o Purpose: Evaluation of the causes of erectile difficulties and discussion of treatment options, including oral medications.

• Premature Ejaculation – Initial Assessment and Management:


o Purpose: Assessment of the history and factors contributing to premature ejaculation and discussion of behavioural and medical management strategies.

o Purpose: Initial evaluation of flank pain and urinary symptoms suggestive of kidney stones, imaging referrals, and guidance on managing small stones that are likely to pass spontaneously.

• Hematuria (Blood in Urine) – Initial Assessment:


o Purpose: Initial evaluation to determine the potential causes of blood in the urine, often involving urine tests and referrals for further imaging (like ultrasound or cystoscopy).

• Prostatitis – Diagnosis and Management of Chronic Non-Bacterial Prostatitis:


o Purpose: Diagnosis and management of chronic pelvic pain syndrome related to the prostate, often involving medication and lifestyle recommendations.

• Overactive Bladder (OAB) – Diagnosis and Medical Management:


o Purpose: Evaluation of urinary urgency, frequency, and urge incontinence, and initiation of behavioural therapies and medications.
